Sorry, just coming back, and also sorry if I was being strident. The over-sensitivity comes from the fact that there's often an ugly conversation regarding LGBT stories, that they "get a pass" and are "over-valued" purely because of their progressive cultural esteem.

It's honestly a comment that's particularly popular from the tech community, and it oft has little to do story analysis, but this weird sideways glance at it, as if people whispering out of the side of their mouths "this is bullshit, right?"

And I know you might not see it. Your opinion is your own and by all means, you have a right to express it. Just it always comes with a necessary level of tact because of that culture of conversation.

And with that "whisper" - It's got all of the markings of the dog whistle language I see in this conversation alllll the dang time. And gets thrown at me nakedly much more often. And I don't think how many people realize how much they play into it.

And so when I saw this, someone I love and read very much in the most important paper in the country. Yup. I speak up. Sometimes more aggressively than I intended. But always from the heart of love. Thanks & keep being well, keep being courageous, keep being kind.
