Kung Fu Panda 2 I think is about on par with the 1st one. 3 was the weakest, but its still pretty enjoyable.

I can't remember a film sequel ending with such finality, barring main character death

I thought that 2 had the better writing and emotional moments while 1 had the better character development and fight scenes.

2nd one is probably my favorite, the story, themes, and kung fu all hit home for me.

I disliked 2 but loved 3 - notable in having Dustin Hoffman, Bryan Cranston and JK Simmons in the same movie.

The second one’s a disappointment, the third is really solid, you should give it a try!

The third one is better than the second one. But not quite as good as the first.

The second goes dark and emotional and it works. Third reads like studio got scared, made team play it safe, ape minions instead of wuxia

The third doesn’t send a great message to adopted kids when the Dads fight for control over Po’s affection.
