It's weird to have a Spider-Man movie (SPIDER-MAN!) where the theme of responsibility barely even comes up as lip-service. Nor consequence.

See, while I found that theme still there, just not so tediously belabored by mentioning it nonstop. We already know the line.

SPIDER-MAN 2 captured the true essence the comic: Being a "superhero" is hard and borderline awful. That "great responsibility" is crushing.

There are rewarding aspects of it, but in general it sucks away at most if not all other aspects of what you really want out of life.

The Raimi ones put such a great emphasis on average people, hostages, Peter running into burning buildings [even w/o powers] bc it's right.
