HULK REALLY ENJOYED THE FIRST BOOK, BUT THEY'VE GOTTEN SLOPPIER AND SLOPPIER. THE LAST 2 ARE ALMOST EXCRUCIATINGLY TEDIOUS..

@FilmCritHULK Yeah, but Storm of Swords is incredibly riveting to read.

@FilmCritHULK I like the third book best, but the first is next. On the other hand "Feast for Crows" is almost a bad book. Too slow.

@FilmCritHULK The books don't give the reader much of an impression that this is going anywhere. The show sure does. Could backfire.

@FilmCritHULK What's your background on epic fantasy series? As the series goes on, Martin reveals more interest in worldbuilding than drama

@FilmCritHULK I think the best book was Storm of Swords, which is mostly a meditation on dreams, prophecies and songs, with a few set pieces

@FilmCritHULK I think the way that the last two books are structured definitely makes it feel like he's losing control of his own world.
