Certainly the next Dr. Strange movie laid bare the way Loki would ultimately play out. But I think that’s ok. I’ve driven coast to coast a few times. But just because I always knew the destination, never meant it spoiled the ride. And Loki was a fun ride to Phase 4.

(1/2) “I’m tired because I always feel like I’m always straddling two groups of people, the die-hard MCU-ers who eat it all up so non-critically and always look to the future instead of the present - and those who dismiss it all so casually without acknowledging the merits of..”

(2/2) having something genuinely fun so central to our zeitgeist. It’s one group always seeing forest and another only seeing the trees.” My apologies for a basic copy/paste job, but…damn, if that doesn’t perfectly describe my entire relationship with Film Twitter in a nutshell.

I suspect a major reason Marvel decided to do the Multiverse after the Infinity Saga is that it would allow them to bypass the repercussions of the two Snaps and instead largely reset the MCU. I know that's a cynical and depressing thought, but it really does seem to be the case
-
I'm not even sure it's a reset, I think it's more just moving on and shooting straight-forward into the chaos.

I understand your tiredness more than anything, but I'm viewing it cynically - As in I see Marvel looks at its audience cynically and they made this episode be a five minute story wrap up and then 38 minutes of commercial for phase four and I felt tremendously disappointed.
-
I love Marvel in general - From Raimi's Spider-Man, to TAS, to X2 and Logan, Legion, Black Panther and Guardians 2 are a delight. But when Marvel Studios does this sort of thing, I feel like they're afraid the audience will find what Marvel itself is embarrassing.

This show suffers very badly from "because I said so". Character X said that doing A would cause B but no actual reason was given why A would cause B

Well put.
