Just tried playing and OUTER WILDS for the first time and had a terrifyingly visceral / existential reaction to trying to navigate space and landing on the tiny planets!??!?!?!?!

Beat that part! Well, "beat" it. Still piecing together endgame and have some vague ideas and still trying to get to QM but i know where to start.

Well I stayed up and for four hours and finished it. that was one of the most existentially haunting experiences but also gorgeous in that vein. True awe is impossible without an essence of terror.

Are you playing with keyboard or gamepad? If you're on keyboard you basically can't use thrusters at all in that area because you've got no analog control over it.

It's... very frustrating. You have to coast on momentum, but navigating via that is a lot more forgiving than it feels.

There's another planet that has info to help you figure out how to deal with them. Progression in this game is gated purely by knowledge, so I'd be super careful of spoilers. Generally if you hit a wall you have to look for more info, often in other locations.

I already go the info that they're blind. The way i've been avoiding them thus far aint working here.

I'm seeing lots of good tips in the comments about coasting already, so I will add also that if you're quiet, you can hear them breathing when you're in range of them attacking you if you make noise Dark bramble's tough! It needs lots of patience and fighting your instincts
