Everyday I see people on here dismiss the impact radius of the anti-v*xx movement like "let them die, who cares," but it's not about them....

I read on the newssites that some musicians are giving regular priced tickets to people with vaccines and high expensive ones that aren't. Was thinking this same thing. It might seem like a small percentage but there are still people who legit reasons can't vaccinate.

The big one is always people who have severe allergies to vaccines (often egg related) but also there's a lot of incomplete research on, say, HIV studies tho right now the outlook and response seems to be pretty good

I got people in my life who are never going to get the vaccine. And I feel if they get sick then they shouldn’t be surprised. Not much sympathy. Of course, anyone they go on to infect, it’s going to be a tragedy. And it doesn’t mean I’m giving up on changing people’s minds

I guess the distinction I’m trying to make is there’s a sense of cutting someone off “who cares if they die” that is dismissive, unhelpful. I feel that’s what you’re reacting against (and rightly so)

On the other hand? “dammit we’re part of the same tree! Why don’t you see that! I’m gonna have to keep you at an emotional distance to protect myself, while doing everything I can to also protect any vulnerable branches” I dunno I’m mixing metaphors but I hope you get it
