Started Ghosts of Tsushima and it's really pretty and polished thus far! But maaaaaaan, after SEKIRO the movement can't help but feel like going from this to this...pic.twitter.com/WdH3sWr3rJ

Okay, just had first fight that completely clicked. Called for stand-off - knew what to switch for enemies, hung back with patience and countered at right times. It's sort of weird cause your instincts want to make it Sekiro OR a flow fighter like Arkham - but it's neither?
Early game is kind of rough: the more armored an enemy is, the harder they will be. That said, areas that you absolutely should not be in will be areas of "overwhelming force," in the game's own words.
There's no real level gate tbh. You just have to learn the correct "stance" to easily defeat certain event types
I think I have one for the kind the enemies are after? I dunno - after SEKIRO this parry system seems wonky AF and I feel like I'm hitting block at the right times but not blocking shit.
Sadly either ignore areas or just try to power through until you unlock all the stances.
Red x= unblockable throughout the game, must evade. Blue slash= unblockable until you get the stancepower to block it. Look in the stance menu what you need to get it.
And once you’ve unlocked it you don’t have to be IN the stance to parry the attacks, which is nice and also annoying just let me parry stuff I’m good at that
It’s both. I realized i sucked and also shouldn’t have been trying to take over entire camps early in the game. The benefits of freeing them come later, or now if you are willing to die 30x
If you aren't supposed to be there they'll shoot you to death instantly.
Side quests, stay off the characters paths in the beginning, just wonder around and do other stuff
