The "easy" answer is a two-part Ocarina of Time... but making that isn't easy at all for a billion reasons... I dunno, I know Undertale is one of the most video game video games ever, but I'm the person who think if you do it right it could be an incredible animated film, too.https://twitter.com/DannyBaram/status/1377523140474007554 …

If you were the head of a studio and could make one movie/series of movies based off a videogame (that hasn't already been made into a movie) - with the goal of creating the next big blockbuster movie franchise - what game would you choose?

Interesting ... hadn't thought of Undertale at all, but yeah, that could be a really fun animated film. And man, Zelda is so fascinating as a movie franchise. Could be HUGE if done right or a huge bomb if done wrong. Open enough to interpretation that it could go so many ways.

honestly, the biggest problem is links design is really really weird IRL

Undertale could be fabulous as a animated movie. I even had an idea of how it could involve all three 'routes', as it were.

Undrrtale would prlly also be really hard to make. But I would LOVE to at least see an attempt on an animates feature film

I think a one-season animated series might be easier than a movie? (I’ve had a few scenes envisioned for some time.)

My opinion is that a Zelda movie should be its own original entry designed for a movie structure instead of trying to cram a game’s structure.

in some ways, but a movies structure can also be anything if you know how to move from objective to objective with propulsion and tension.

I can't imagine how you'd do that with Undertale but I'd be interested to see you do it.

Undertale: The Movie should play with movie conventions in the same way the original played with video game conventions re: messing with our deeply ingrained societal belief that violence is the primary (and preferred) form of conflict in storytelling.
