With an upcoming Disney+ cost increase, I am now paying more for a handful of streaming options / internet than I was with cable / internet. And I can't even watch sports. Who in their right mind ever thought this would lead to lower prices?

It really isn't more than I got from cable. 13 years ago it felt like I could watch everything and anything I wanted and movies was the rental system. I'm still now constantly renting the specific movie I want to watch anyway.
-
Good fucking call about movie renting. I honestly don't know what I subscribe to Netflix for. I have never ever ever been able to search for a movie I want to watch and have it be on there. "Oh, you wanna watch Fast and the Furious? How about Herbie Goes Bananas instead?"

You don’t get sports via the Hulu portion?
-
Hulu premium is prohibitively expensive. I have the lite version.

You get ESPN+ with the Disney/Hulu bundle.
-
ESPN+ doesn't count as sports because you don't get the main ESPN feeds, only the online-only content which is generally niche stuff. And that doesn't include broadcast sports on NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, etc. The sports aspect or cord cutting is def a big pain point for me rn too

How do you have 0 sports when ESPN is in the Disney+/Hulu bundle?
-
ESPN isn't. ESPN+ is in the bundle. There's a humungous difference. (technically not "zero" sports, but he means no access to local broadcast or even nationally televised sports)
