Agreed. Origin stories lend themselves more to having solid dramatic structure. By their nature, they require the character to grow, change, and/or learn. Once you get into ongoing serialized storytelling the model dictates the character can’t change that much.

A problem amplified by Marvels dedication to everything being charming all the time even when the audience should be feeling the dramatic weight of the situation which had the effect of flatting even the drama that’s present. The ending of Civil War being a prime example
