I’m glad you brought up the conflicting messaging wrt the stalker. I actually wrote a whole essay on this film and character in a college class about Disability Representation. If you want to learn more about media and disability I highly recommend the book “Narrative Prosthesis”

I could have enjoyed the M/W paradigm if it was debunked at the end of the movie. But it stays binary instead: sane/crazy, reality/fiction. Mami saying she owes everything to Rumi at the end implies she was right to star in these awful movies? This feels contradictory. and dumb.
