This is the wildest insomnia I've had in years. No reason. Every time I start falling asleep my mind is like, "OH LOOK THERE THE SLEEP IS LOOK AT IT WOW EXCITING" and then I'm wide awake again.

I'm so sorry. As someone who has dealt with variations of "exploding head syndrome" forever, it's basically your caveman brain trying to protect you because it thinks danger is in the forest or something. Usually because your body thinks you have to be on guard for something-

It makes no damn sense, but it helps to try and just realize it's not in my head, but my body's dumb defense systems kicking into overdrive. I can fixate a bit less. So sorry it's happening. Wishing well.
