Im sitting here watching old Dick Cavett clips and I'm reminded of the age where BROADCASTER was this job of needing to be able to roll with an endless array of styles / people / interests for broad media purposes and, well... Larry King was one of the last BROADCASTERS.

The thing I guess I miss is that old timey soothing cadence thing that he and a lot of those figures had - and sort of kept bringing into the now, whether it wholly felt relevant or not. I mean... "Larry, I'm on Ducktales" RIP

I know what you mean in the UK, Guys like Wogan or Forsythe who could literally do anything required at any moment, serious and somber one moment, comedy the next heck even a song and dance routine if needed
