That’s a fascinating point, and i want to digest it. To me, if I had a problem with it - it’d be more of an Andrew Stanton story telling problem, as in Finding Nemo when we wanted to save the reveal of the moms death until the end or in John Carter, when he did save that reveal.

Shit, not to fault the great Andrew Stanton, who is amazing, but I don’t know if he qualifies for mystery box storytelling as much as he leans to character reveals saved for way too late.
