Absolutely not. Writing a functionally solid story is an incredibly difficult thing. The vast majority of entertainment fails at it. Me saying so is an indication of genuine craft in making something that works. There are zero insults here. Nor any room for such easy dismissal.

At this point, we have probably hundreds of thousands of hours of entertainment that is "functionally solid". Why does more need to exist? Does The Mandalorian do more than the bare minimum? As far as I can tell, its only laudable value is as a showcase of new technology.
