Time got away from me and FINALLY getting to season one of THE MANDALORIAN (so I can write about season two as it goes) - Hurray!

Btw, the opening of the seasone one finale was (contextually-speaking) one of the funniest things I've ever seen and everything I didn't know I wanted from modern Star Wars stuff. It did what others would do in such winking way in an organic way. Just marvelous.

It really made me understand the cinematic historical link between samurai films and westerns if that makes sense.

it reminds me a lot of the classic '90s EU comics which is a feeling Star Wars is DESPERATELY in need of these days frankly

HOT TAKE: the Star Wars universe now is much more conducive and better suited to multiple television series' and other EU properties, opposed to a film trilogy. MANDALORIAN is Exhibit "A" for this deduction.

Agreed. TV appears to be where Lucasfilm is rebranding the whole property; the theatrical films will be more like footnotes during the investor calls

Where would you rank it in comparison to the Disney Star Wars films? TLJ is to me the creative peak, but Mando has the most solid storytelling yet from modern Lucasfilm (esp in comparison to TRoS).

i dont like ranking things.
