I haven’t beaten Death Stranding but “a never ending game of Calvinball” is about the perfect way to describe it. I love Kojima’s unique brand of insanity so I should muster up the gumption to beat it.

I absolutely loved this game for exactly the reasons you describe... its a weird, funny, sad, hopeful nightmare. A breath of unique, fresh air in a swamp of blandly similar open world games

Great piece! I've always been fascinated with Kojima's storytelling, especially when you compare it to typical American movies/TV. American storytelling is very focused on minimalism. Quick. Sharp. There's only time for so much. In a Kojima game, there's time for *everything.*
