Legend of Korra - Season Two Recaps - Episodes 9-12, which somehow mess up an "alice in wonderland" plot-line and a consipiracy plotline! (meanwhile, we're so close to the good stuff!)https://www.patreon.com/posts/40354138

On a Korra roll, let's do a nice little moratorium on Season Two so we can move onto greener pastures (cause I've started Season Three and I'm so happy so far)https://www.patreon.com/posts/40356416

I literally can't get over how different this is. Three episodes in and it's utterly fantastic. BEHOLD, THE POWER OF GREAT WRITING, HUZZUH.

Wrote about the joyful first four episodes of season three of THE LEGEND OF KORRA. Holy Crap is this a completely different, far more functional show. It's crazy how night and day this is.https://www.patreon.com/posts/40468714

The KORRA train keeps rolling! Episodes 5-9 provide some real highs and few hiccups, but overall can't wait to crest into the ending. This season! It's Good! *clasps hands to cheeks*https://www.patreon.com/posts/40497855

Somehow it didn't click with me. I felt like they refused to explore all the interesting consequences that could've come from joining the human and spirit world, and instead just used it as an excuse to have another big bad who can easily beat the avatar, like every other season.

After season 2 I was so hyped to see what impact this would have, as it seemed so incredibly major, and then we get some vines and that's about the extent of exploring how the world changes or adapts to it? Korra barely even deals with it, she just fights the next Batman villain?

I guess I just got tired of seeing the same thing again, another exceptional unbeatable villain who wants to kill Korra because reasons, when it seemed like the struggle was going to be for people to learn to live with the spirits and for Korra to bring harmony to this new world.

I could not disagree more strongly on ever conceivable level, both in terms of approach and effect.

I mean, I don't disagree with you about it being good storytelling, I guess it's just not the story I wanted? I would've liked more of a non-villain story of dealing with the fallout and the big struggle being learning to adapt.
