As someone who runs their entire life off a laptop and cooks a lot, I've been using google's "timer function" for yeeeeears now. Because most other timers are cumbersome/secondary, this is literally the easiest thing ever for me! But, this year they got A BRIGHT IDEA...

Now it automatically starts the second the google result is put in. I'm assuming to "save you time" of literally one second I guess? But they also put the stop button RIGHT WHERE start button was for years and years...

Design-wise, this is like switching where triggers and safeties are on a fucking gun. And so instinctively after years of use, I shut off the timer and ruin constant meals now all the damn time. I hate thoughtless design change so so so so so so much.

It's either pointless adds or critical removals. Most of it I have an understanding of why tho, which is to say I am so sick of tech bros who think the entire world thinks like them.
