Least Favorite: Demon of Hatred, which I argue outright doesn't count. It's not that iT's A sOuLsBoUrnE boss, it's that it's a BAD soulsbourne boss. Rare hitbox problems, and chaos created by the uneven environ. The rare Fromsoft fight I don't call cruel, but "bad design" on.

Coolest achievement: Beating double apes on first try! Lamest personal moment: Cheesing Jinsuke Saze Scariest moment: SNAKE / Guardian part 2 Funniest moment: THAT MONKEY'S GOT A SWORD

Lastly, it's sort of hard to sum up my thoughts on all this, largely because this is my least accessible / most pedantic twitter thread I've ever written. I've lost like 600 followers and so many of you hopefully muted this. It must have been boring!

After all, so rarely was I digesting or spitting out things to help someone unfamiliar make sense of it or making jokes. So often it was "how do I get spacing with this dude's move? How do I block x?" etc., it was expressing frustration, or talking through my own myopic process.

So why did I keep doing it? Easy... So I didn't have to go through it alone. And you were all there, helping me through it. So this is dedicated to all of you. Know it meant so much in a game that has easily become one of my favorites of all time. You're all the best <3

For me it's GOTTA be Isshin just because it truly feels like the absolute perfect final boss It really tests you on every last thing you've learned and feels like that culmination of everything you've worked for
-
Even the character himself gets into it, just utterly happy that you've learned so much and you can both go toe-to-toe at the height of your strength It's so exhilarating

I agree! For me Isshin is my absolute favorite but I have to reduce points because of Genichiro, which makes sense from a story and "look how far you have come" standpoint but messes with the absolutely perfect fight that is Isshin. Owl (Father) is more focused.

Having beat it, I understand it - it's part of the MENTAL challenge of the final fight. Cause it's not that Genchiro is hard, it just fucks with you. And coming out of it, i can accept that!

Really looking foward to any articles on Sekiro. Especially any thoughts along the lines of 'the most difficult boss is going back to combat in any other videogame' I found playing Jedi: Fallen Order after several playthroughs of Sekiro to be a profound mistake.
