I also think this, but I'm curious--what are your reasons for preferring Azkaban?

Same here. I was initially sour on it because Cuarón was so much looser than Columbus in what he transferred from the page, but I’ve come to appreciate how much better it works as a film in its own right.

You're on board with Scabbers being a grown man in hiding as a perfect writing decision?

More Sirius please. I am a huge hogwarts fan
#ravenclaw4lyf, never watched the movies past 5. Mostly cause beatrix hits sirius w a green & not a red (she stupifies her cousin) but also cause the last book came out & i hated that JK stuck sirius in a void but still killed him.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Cuaron really made that whole series work with his one film. So beautiful and inventive.

Hard agree. Harry's transition into puberty - and the surrealism that surrounds that time in a person's life - was handled expertly in Azkaban. The homages to expressionism, the "weird" tone, Harry's anger, even Dumbeledore's recasting add up to the best movie of the collection.

There's plenty that's great about PoA, BUT the fact that the whole plot revolves around the series' dumbest plot twist (Scabbers) greatly diminishes the whole in my view.
