It's amazing how much the "radical!" and in your face stuff just falls away by the time you're 40 minutes in. It just becomes a movie telling it's story. And there's a shockingly good treatment to Raph's interiority. You don't just know what he's thinking, but why.

Ah yes, the farmhouse second act to save money. Thing is that these sequences can be astronomically useful if you're really digging into things. It can't just be thought of as lofty "character" work - you have to show the relationships evolving and changing. This one is good
