Not gonna tag anyone, but I'm seeing the Vader hallway fight going around as the most "badass" moment in star wars history again and its like... Sure! Because the message of Star Wars is to be cool murderous badass and indulge your base, posturing desires for mayhem.

Wasn't *Leia* the main character in jeopardy?

... no?

I disagree, because the underlying focii is the forgotten sacrifice of the faceless, oft anonymous Rebel that just salvaged some vestige of victory... and then once the plans are there, a nightmare emerges that you can't stop, only escape.

The most impactful moment that hallway shot for me was not Vader going Sith Lord, it was the panicked Rebel who can't wrench the door open and has to desperately push the card through the gap... and then he and the door get stabbed. Fear is that underlying emotion.

IDK it's the only moment in the series when we really see what Vader was capable of at his "prime." Even without glorifying the violence, the moment felt meaningful. It's like if we waited 40 years to see Spider-Man swing on a web. "Oh THAT's what he does!"

That's called fan service.
