Finally getting around to Jedi: Fallen Order and the sliding ice sections are... testing my patience.

A stormtrooper just said "oh no, I failed!" with alarming vulnerability when I stabbed him and now I'm thinking a lot about the inner emotional space of the men i'm sabering.

Challenging bosses are fun, but I'm pretty tired of this ninth sister, especially when the parry timing logic is wholly indiscriminate and the hitboxes are garbage... Yeah, everyone wants to be Dark Souls. But no one realizes the joy of Dark Souls is that it's always fair.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to be doing during this Taron Malicos fight... how is the advanced strategy in this game just so damn evasive. There's no way in.

Take solace in knowing that if you manage to get trough this one, you cracked the game and you have nothing else to learn. Taron Malicos is this game's answer to Ornstein and Smough.

The thing about fights in this game is I never really feel like I *crack* them in that dark souls way where after you beat a boss you can do it every time. I just survive them somehow.

In my playthrough, that was the Ninth Sister. Malicos is where the parrying mechanics finally clicked for me, and every sword fight after him was a piece of cake. Hopefully it will work like that for you too...

The ninth sister was frustrating and hard, but I could at least see where I was screwing up. None of this makes any sense.
