Hi, the intersection of sports and pop culture matters most when most of you post instagram cultural brackets WITHOUT ANY UNDERSTANDING OF SEEDING, SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HELL

I host a podcast now because one of those Disney brackets was so bad I had to make a better one and work my way through it. That was 2 years ago.

I made an R.E.M. bracket for my podcast this year and wrote around a 1500 word post about the methodology and seeding. I have had the same feeling and wasn’t messing around in the slightest.

You know, tournament arcs are a staple of action and sports manga — Dragon Ball alone has at least four of them — but in all my years of reading I think I’ve only seen ONE that used seeding.
