Sort of a half answer to your question, but Tucci NEVER takes a night off. He always knows what movie he's in and delivers what it needs.https://twitter.com/GrossPointBlack/status/1248178225232175105 …

Hey Hulk, hope you’re doing well in all this! What’s the best performance you’ve seen in an otherwise terrible film?

Transformers is easily the best example of this. Hate the movie, love him having a blast in it.

YES! I saw this all the time! If it needs menace, he’ll give you menace (The Lovely Bones). If you need camp, sure (Burlesque, Devil Wears Prada). Sweet? Charming? Easy A, Julie & Julia? Horror lead? The Silence. Tucci gives you whatever you want.

It's a *good* movie but I was kind of amazed at how much of an emotional impact Tucci had in the first Captain America movie. Small screen time but lays a lot of emotional groundwork AND even though I knew he was going to die from the start it still hurt so much when it happened

The fact that he could play that guy *and* Eichmann in Conspiracy is really mind-blowing.

He was particularly underrated in Easy A (though that’s possibly because the movie was good and full of good performances)

I remember him in a cheesy spy movie with Randy Quaid and Kathleen Turner, where he played Muerte! He was the best part of that (i wanna say 90s?) dumb movie. Completely self aware and perfectly hammy.

He’s amazing in wverything. Imposters is a terrific fun film. I still can’t believe he was in (2 !) Transformer movoes, but to your point he knew exactly what thoses movies WERE, not what everyone else was TRYing them to be.
