The thing about the horrible eggs ruining Animal Crossing is I genuinely can't believe they thought this was a good idea and implemented it. Because these sorts of big MMO events have an established pathway that was learned from lots of trial and error...

I would have been 100% fine with an event over Easter but this has made the game no longer fun to play and now it’s extremely frustrating to progress

I mean, this is the same game that doesn't allow you to back up your Save data cause of"cheating". The game has a good gameplay loop but it's not user friendly in many way.

Bonkers? I see people rushing through all content they can manage in the first week. This has been, for decades, a game for people to play a little bit daily for years. I'm a bit frustrated with all the people jumping in and demanding it to follow their maximization rush.

The holiday event isn't even there just to freshen up the gameplay, its there because this game follows the real calendar, and so it pays homage to big holidays. If anyone "starves", it's because they didn't get the sense of pace of this game.

It is surreal having to see a game I have all the intentions of playing but haven't played yet, and in two weeks people are already having a miserable experience. Nintendo has been with us for over a century and they can't still figure this shit out.

It's definitely the kind of thing you see a lot in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
-
No. Pocket Camp demands you to come back every 3 hours just to keep up. That's the total opposite of being given an abundance of event items. One wants you to rush and keep checking, the other wants you to take it easy, and the latter is why I think the core AC games are better.

I was able to catch plenty of fish last night and this morning, I feel like they adjusted spawn rates in 1.1.2, but that’s extremely anectdotal. The eggs don’t effect much else, save for maybe getting a few less stone, clay, or iron.

Its probably because a variety of this event is in every game and the delay in release means instead of it being months in it happened very close to release.
