Yeah, that's the whole thing, I can't even know if I have the dang bug because we can't waste limited tests on those not in dire shape. And I more worry about the effect that has on the spread of the disease.

We should be testing profligately, everywhere. And sending the infected into hospital care, not home quarantine where they risk infecting family. This in turn means we should be spamming hospital beds in every large building. The lessons are plain – but we're not learning.

There's even a catch 22 to that, too. I live alone so there's no risk there. But health care workers are at immense risk for the disease, too. And putting the disease into areas that need to deal with all kinds of sick, vulnerable people has immense problems too (see Italy).

It all comes back to the lack of preparedness, and the inability to test en masse in a safer manner.
