I got an idea to do a fun "odd menu items!" thread from every chain restaurant, just like I did with my old international McDonald's thread, but as I went through it made me realize that every American chain restaurant... Basically has the exact same menu. And I got depressed

Maybe it's my european experience, but I personally try to never ever eat in chain restaurants. There are unavoidable cases where there is single chain restaurant in small town with no other option but still

I felt similarly upset that a fancy hotel I like would have special regional cocktails, uniquely named & local flavors. Then that menu went away... same drinks everywhere. So I wouldn't search out the bar when I traveled. I used to love seeing what a Boston cocktail was to them.
