"I played PERSONA 5 for 170 hours and all I got was this lousy patreon article." But for real, I have some thoughts about the joys, trappings, rhythms, and hypocrisies of this wondrous game. Enjoy + thank you for you endless support. It means so much <3https://www.patreon.com/posts/33531884

I'm one of like 5 people who still have a Vita but I will always thank my stars that my first Persona game was the P3 Portable version that let you be a female protagonist. I really wish they'd do that again sometime.

I loved Persona 4 and was so shocked by the sexism and homophobia in Persona 5 that I had to stop. I'm not judging the player; I'm judging the social construct of performative masculinity which forces weak men to conform to a sexist narrative etc, etc...

P4 is more mundane, its theme is Truth and introspection plays a role in most characters (also the twist isn’t artificially obfuscated as the player gets as much information as the MC). You definitely should try it.

I think 3 is the strongest of the series in actually sitting with the character's trauma, since its almost entirely explored in the main story and not in the Confidant storyline. Also I really loved this as someone that really resonated with the game but had issues

Yeah Persona 3 discusses how the characters deal with having powers way more than 4 or 5. Makes for a super memorable and personal story.
