Why do people propagate this type of nonsense? Obviously, you can't put an open-air means of elevation OUTSIDE your building, especially if it's a high-rise. And what are people with babies, small children, or large package supposed to do? How do you evacuate in a fire?https://twitter.com/mashable/status/1221509861613195276 …

Obvioulsy, there's also the question of disabled people, but I'm more boggled by the idea that you need to "solve" stairs. They're a very useful technology! Energy-efficient and good exercise for people who can take them! Why complicate them with this death-machine?

Tech-Bros are the literal worst at so much "problem" / "solving"

This feels more like architecture/design students desperately scrambling for an "innovative" green concept. I do blame techbros for advertising it rather than letting it die in obscurity, though.

I suppose "stairs take up too much space" is the sort of thing I'd expect from the tech, rather than design, side of things.

i find designers would want to put nice panes of different colored glass by that proverbial stairwell? Tech bros would want to turn it into a fitbit app challenge. Because they are the literal worst.
