Your anger directed at both her and I tells the whole story. Good bye.

... because you aren’t helping. Treating everyone around you like shit over the smallest most innocuous statements helps no one, not even yourselves, and I desperately wish you could see that.

You also didn’t address a goddamn thing I said, but I can’t say I expected you to. Goodbye then, and best of luck to you.

I haven't gotten angry once. I'm just tired of this dynamic happening again and again on the internet. Everything you are saying is "right" and "moral" but it's also narrow and ignoring the larger dynamic of how that exact attitude is used to defend horrible ppl and bully women.

And it was this exact attitude that was used as the emotional fuel for g*merg*te and that's why it scares the crap out of me. Look beyond the narrow, see the larger picture, understand WHY you're getting so angry at both me and her. This is bigger than being "nice."

I think that comparison is extremely unwarranted, particularly as the overall focus currently is not on attacking anyone, even the artist in question, by retooling a character in the comic into a positive symbol. That’s... nothing like what happened before.

Think about why she's locked her account. And half of what she's getting isn't "nice."

See, this wraps around to an unpleasant topic. She’s the sort of person who regards vague moral statements like “maybe no one deserves to be robbed” as attacks deserving of her contempt and scorn. She... probably will interpret all critique as a personal attack.

And right now you're the kind of guy who can't see that statements like "maybe no one deserves to be robbed" are precisely the kind of logistical statements that get used to defend bad people (that you even agree are bad) under the guise of decency, and it creates dynamics where

we defend the bad people and then go after the people who trying to criticize the bad people - I get that this is reflexive, but yes, it IS reflexive. That's the problem. I see your logic, really I do- But we've all been here before. Including this very stalemate.

So now, I gotta go do work. I see your point. Really do. But that point has a damaging effect. So I hope you can see mine.

Alright man, sorry I did lose my temper a bit towards the middle, of it helps it was at least partially directed at myself. I don’t agree, but I do see why you view it this way, I just think it’s a very unhealthy way to see the world and the people around you.

I wish everyone could be kind to each too. But we live and operate in a very difficult space and a dangerous time where a LOT of problematic things are getting normalized and defended. We all have to be careful in every direction. Especially in the larger dynamics. Be well.
