I went to Maryland a decade after Len Bias's death and it still came up pretty regularly on campus. Definitely a major event.

I love that kid, but nowhere *near* the same. I don’t think you can have a film equivalent, because Len Bias had proven his potential in a way that an actor necessarily couldn’t without having had a big break already.

One of the great “For want of a nail” in NBA history. Adding Bias to the 80’s Celtics completely changes the NBA of the late ‘80s/early ‘90s. Bird/McHale get a transcendent talent to help with their load management and extend that run a little longer.
