They were trying to destroy the Rebel ship, not capture it. That much is obvious
Rian just wanted a chase, so he manufactured one quite poorly, breaking in universe rules left and right. Pathetically short sighted

They didn’t start to destroy the ship until Snoke had Rey. What in-universe rules were broken?

Hyperspace ramming... Rey not having to train to gain Force powers

No one “gains” Force powers, that’s the whole point. The Force doesn’t belong to any one person. There are beings all across the galaxy who are using what we call the Force without any training, and they don’t even know it.

And furthermore, this is not a new thing. The abiIity to use the Force has never depended on being a Jedi or Sith. lt's just that the Jedi/Sith tend to find and train aII Force users that they can find.

I wasn't trying to say they gained Force sensitivity or that only Jedi/Sith use the Force
I was saying she takes that sensitivity and turns it into Force powers far too quickly based on previous users in the film's, pretty basic really

You’re failing to see that she’s been using the Force her entire life. She just didn’t know that that’s what she was doing. When she realizes it and focuses, then it’s stronger. She’s what, early 20s? If her powers manifest when she’s 2, that’s 18 years of just raw talent use.

So was Anakin "The Chosen One" and that manifested itself in him being better at Pod Racing and having some premonitions...Not mind probing/reading/controlling and other ridiculously OP shit for someone who just discovered she was Force sensitive
