The article isn't even about "Millennials" it is about how the media industry is changing and business is done differently. Yes, white male boomer execs shmoozed and made deals a different way years ago because it was a shitty old boys club that is dying.
Like the Millennials referenced in the article are ones who actually HAVE money they just choose not to spend it on fatty steaks for lunch in a stuffy restaurant surrounded by suited assholes but would rather pay for overpriced salads wearing rumpled shirts that cost $400
