At the village... I have no idea what I was expecting with this game (and the opening is a lovely misdirect) BUT IT WASN'T THIS.

Good granola when do you get fast travel in this game?

Okay I've gotten to the part where... how to keep this vague... now there's a giant hole! I'm officially getting better at the combat and evasion timing (which is huge). And with the chips, it's kinda combining some stuff I like about final fantasy 12.

Nier Update: I like a change of pace as much as anyone, but these prolonged bullet-hell sequences can kiss my whole butt.

I really can't watch these cutscenes any longer. But I reeeeeeally don't like lowering the difficulty?

Also it doesn't let you lower difficulty during these sequences, you can only pause, not reach the menu. SO FUN.

What's with Japanese developers and having this issue? The original Kingdom Hearts had this same problem, which completely killed my mood in the final boss. Only ended beating it when it got ported to the PS3.

There's some games that are designed for it really well and it's part of the toughness of the challenge (read: dark souls, etc) - but those respect your time and space SO MUCH MORE.
