Them: “we only switch back when youve been away for awhile!” Me: “you mean like the six hours i was sleeping? Go fuck yourself.”

We dont make a big enough deal of this. The idea this isnt a permanent option is egregious. Its NOT a small thing. Its intention is malicious. The ethos of this company makes my blood boil. And everyone who hand waves it is part of the “tech will be tech” problem. Fuck em.

Tweetbot is my preferred app for this reason. Keeps ish in order. Never changes core features, just makes them function better. It’s lovely.

I hate this so much. All social media platforms seem to be forcing their algorithms on us at all times. My Facebook constantly reverts to "top posts" instead of chronologic order, too. Just let me see the stuff in proper order. It's not too much to ask for, is it?
-
Facebook is the worst for it. You can literally look away for one moment, come back, and it's set itself back to 'top' posts. Facebook Purity sorts it out but we shouldn't have to use that just to things in order.

Try Tweetbot! It costs a few bucks, and gives you a twitter experience that’s just tweets/retweets from who you follow in the order they happened in. Completely changed my experience of Twitter.

Id rather people wake up and fight twitter but fine, do the tech thing of constantly trying to outrun them with alt apps.

The Android version doesn't seem to do this but it is VERY loathsome on desktop...

I started tweetdeck to keep track of a few of my brand accounts and I was so confused when the feed was different from the Tw home page. I forgot what live feeds looked like.
