Not that this invalidates your criticism, but it's a quality very much inherited from the comics. "The illusion of change" as coined by Stan Lee.

It’s also one of the things that appeals to a lot of people about manga. (Not that some battle manga don’t have their own share of wheel-spinning and resetting...)

Yeah it’s a shame they didn’t spend a 3 hour movie dealing with the aftermath of the snap, oh wait they did it was called Endgame and a lot of it was depressing...so let’s keep doing that over and over, sounds like fun!

I liked how Aunt May was doing fundraisers for all the people displaced by The Blip. It at least hinted at what a shitshow it would be to have billions people re-appear on Earth at once.
