          There is a reason this are called hacks and not chef techniques. This video is clearly for the average person looking to get some short cuts on some of the more tedious cooking tasks. Get over yourself...

          The only thing I can say about this video is the crab part is legit- when I last went to Myrtle beach, several crab places taught that technique to us newcomers and it worked great. Most of the rest of the video seems like nonsense.

          Many dishes use peeled prawns where shell on wouldn't be suitable. Not all fish skin crisps up. If you're using herbs when plating a dish you often just use the leaves. No-one zests every orange they're going to eat. I'm a big fan but the video's clearly not meant as gospel.

          Yeah, the hacks are a bit iffy, but remember thst any given preparation has it's place. You'd be surprised about what goes on in kitchens (unless you're also ex-hospo, in which case you wouldn't be at all surprised).
