A great article from a clear Hulk fan (duh). Personally the poetry of the one who smashes saving half of creation makes up for the lack of on screen catharsis for me (maybe next film I kid I kid) but I appreciate your take. And Bill Bixby is still #1.

But that's just, like, a thing he did that has "impact" and "effect," but it's not really about anything with him personally that's dramatized.

I just feel that the guy who has seen himself as a monster this whole time being the one who pulls himself together after trauma and becomes an actual goshdarn Superhero works for me. I love that Bruce believes in himself now, like Hulk on Sakaar, and that faith saves everyone.

I feel like you're missing the point of the essay. It's not the "what" that happens- it's the lack of dramatization in how we get to and through all that stuff.

Like I said, I enjoyed the essay. I get where you're coming from - on first viewing, I missed a Hulk /Banner reconciliation too. What I'm saying is for me, enough is there that I don't mind the lack of dramatisation in this case.

Your thesis statement was that the MCU failed the Hulk. I disagree, that's all. Just wanted to say that it was a good read, and it's always great to hear some love for the original series too.

That's not really my thesis statement tho(I don't write headlines), and the criticism is more limited to Endgame's lack of dramatization.

Fair enough. I don't know how this stuff works evidently. Don't know what else to say. Hope you write more on the Hulk, be cool to read. Apologies for any confusion.
