Either! Sorry, Hulk. I’m being dense.

And it's indicative of the faux nature of all these conflicts that don't end up REALLY mattering on any bigger level. I've written about this extensively. But again, I really don't want to keep going down this rabbit hole. Be well.

Yes, I’ve read your writings about it. Extensively. If you still think that half the universe dying counts as “these conflicts really don’t matter on any bigger level”, I don’t see how you can argue that any events matter in any movie.

Yes, that’s the Steve side of the characterization, but Tony is still hurt. Does Tony call him in Infinity War? No, and as a consequence half the universe dies. And is he over it in Endgame?? NO. One person apologizes, but the other person is still hurt. Character development.

Seriously, why didn't Steve Rogers just abandon everyone he cared about after this conflict he never wanted? If only he had gone off the grid completely -perhaps to some remote island- to just wallow in his misery while the world around him burned and his friends died...
-
Exactly! Steve offering an in-case-of-emergency number doesn’t mean the Avengers were still together, doesn’t mean he was sorry for defending Bucky, and most importantly it doesn’t mean that Tony forgave him. And those led to the events of Infinity War.

Since we’re past spoiler territory now: Endgame starts with Tony Stark almost dying, coming back to Earth, and saying, “I needed you, and you weren’t there! I got nothing for you! No trust!” Oh, and half the universe is dead. Events have consequences.

He WAS there is the whole thing. So Its just lip service. You are just regurgitating what a character SAYS without looking at the text behind it. So i am done talking. Repeat. I am done talking.
