What to say about Endgame without really spoiling? All the ways it works are utter proof of how good and meaningful Phase One was and utter proof of how meaningless, purposeless, and wheel-spinning the rest was, *especially* the last few entries...

Avengers ended with him being willing to sacrifice himself. Then in Iron Man 3 he had PTSD over that. In Age of Ultron, he was haunted by the looming threat and tried to create a robot army that could protect the world. Then the aftermath of that caused guilt.

Partly agree but Stark's arc regressed after NY, he struggled to save people at his expense. Another reason why Strange didn't spoil the outcome. Stark needed to cross that last threshold on his own. Civil War, Spidey & Infinity War are meaningful in this context.

Hi Hulk. Big fan, agree with your analysis. Do you think there is some value in foregoing the natural conclusion of a story to prolong it because the character resonates with the audience so much and they don’t want to let go?
-
I disagree with the analysis, which is disproven by actual events from the films. The movies are not comics, characters do change, and stories end! Endgame proves that if nothing else.
