I cant believe I actually thought we were done with Skywalker bullshit.

This is also your reminder that almost all of JJ’s history is entirely filled with vague, confusing allusions that are meant to get you predicting and guessing and often do not congeal into any real cohesive point. We done this dance before.

Important thing to remember: I actually like JJ and feel like he's outrageously good with actors, casting, infusing sequences with energy, etc. - it's just he always get tripped up in trying to surprise the audience and it messes up the themes, meaning-making, and resonance.

I can't help but think it's a big swerve, like it's referring to Kylo Ren or like a new counsel called the Skywalkers or something. Haven't seen the trailer yet, so I could just be spewing nonsense.

I’m thinking it’s the Avengers Tower equivalent for Jedi or some shit. Honestly, I’m so disappointed I just watched the
#RiseOfTheSkywalker trailer once and then decided I’d wait for the next. I’m ... not satisfied.
