People freaking out about Endgame being 3 hours apparently never went to movies in the 90s. Heat, Braveheart, Casino, Magnolia and Titanic were all 3 hrs.

Can't have you changing your alter ego now! You're in too deep!

I think that critique of IW is fair even if I still enjoy the hell out of the movie even on rewatch. I think it's just an inherent part of structuring a massive "10 franchises come together" movie. At the end of the day it's mostly just mingling at a party.

I view Infinity War as part 1 to like a two parter episode. Its probably gonna be more enjoyable when Endgame comes out...

Feels like a zero issue of a comic book event. Friends of mine think it’s the best one but it doesn’t feel like a full story. I feel like Endgame will have more focus. There’s a problem & the group have to solve it despite hopelessness & differences. That’s at least a story.

Having said that I love sequences and character work in IW. Some great moments. But they do seem like a disjointed comic crossover event. Which maybe is a intentional meta commentary! Haha.

I liked it, but think it was "good" mostly in being able to pull off that scale. Fun thing though is that, looking at 2017 Marvel, BP worked best as a complete movie and AM&tW demonstrated they're willing to go low-stakes romp. All 3 show Marvel is willing to do different things.

I think you underrate the amount of great character moments and dialogue even as the pace never really slows down. Still, you're not totally wrong. It's more of a season finale than a proper movie.
