Of COURSE it's part and parcel of the world we live in. The world we live in is Bad and should be Fixed. But in the face of literally five bajillion other far worse, far more pressing things, I'm finding it hard to consider this a thing worth losing sleep over.

In all sincerity, moral relativism and arguing over which parts are worth concentrating on over which others is part of the trap that helps enable systemic problems at the root. People are mad about this because of the exact way it taps into devastating class realities.

And tackling the world means addressing everything from the college system to poverty to immigration policy. It's all part of the same rot. And separating and acting like every event is just an isolated incident is actually at the root of so much horrible conservative policy.
