Thank for this response. And I understand that, but also understand 1) to a lot of people who were close to it, 9/11 still hits hard. And understand 2) the joke doesn't actually read edgelord but ironic edgelord light. Because yes, 3) it's an insane image for someone to create
but when you put it up as your header, you're literally making a foward-facing presentation choice (I say this as the guy who has a cartoon hulk, but that means I understand when people take it the way they do).
Essentially, it's a way of getting all the thrills of the edgelord joke of using 9/11 with none of the responsibility. Does that make sense? I realize I'm getting into my deeper feelings about how we all use of irony and I know it's not obvious.
