The Native American protest shows plainly what we already know: the MAGA aims have nothing to do with broader immigration. It's about wanting a white country. That's it. That's always been it. And any discussion that's not latching onto that fact is a distraction.

Completely untrue. I’m MAGA and I wish that we would put more $$ into helping the Native Americans vs helping foreigners. I’m also not opposed to legal immigration at all. I never saw color in this world until the left started crying racism w everything tbh

Stfu. I have different ethnic backgrounds in my family. I saw them as my aunts and uncles. I didn’t see them as my mexican aunts or uncles...because that would be f*cked up. Am I wrong???? I’m so sorry I see people as people instead of that black person or that Chinese person

You are making this too hard on yourself. What minorities tell us again and again and again is simpler than that. Of course they want to be seen as individuals first and foremost with their own right personhood and individual dreams. At the same time

They're also looking for the basic acknowledgement that life is also different for them in many contexts because of their race. That racism exists. That it subtly or not subtly influences their lives in different ways.

Yes, they want to be seen as individuals. But there's nothing wrong with acknowledging the hardships they face in that struggle to be seen as individuals. And "colorblindness" erases that reality of that struggle.
