I have the deepest, most abiding jealousy of people who can just “go to sleep” without their brain turning it into an ordeal for hours and hours. This has been my whole damn life.

This is something I understand better than anyone else possibly could about me. The point of this whole shebang, is to reach out to people who are experiencing it / something like it or know people who are, and say "I get it." <3

Are you me..? DSPS that I feel has become non-24. I slide back about a half hour a year I think. The fuzzy waking dream thing is so spot-on. The hardest part is the more tired/sleepless you are, the less you're able to function, and the harder it is to wind down for sleep.

It's after 7am in the morning here and I'm still coding some stuff I need to get done. Then I have to wind down my brain after this and somehow sleep. I'll get about 4 hours, and then the process will be even harder tomorrow night.

It's awesome, isn't it, being the zombie who's badly piloting your own body? I'm off to the doctor's next week to try yet another angle of attack. I wish you some restful, restorative nights in the near future or, failing that, the opportunity for afternoon naps

I get it mate. I had similar for year. Even when I sleep it felt like I didn't. I take stuff and follow a pattern which helps. But even with that some nights I'm lucky if I get two hours of terrible sleep. Sorting my gut biome has helped with sleep quality and my depression.
