Gambler Challenge #8 in Red Dead 2 is completely absurd and designed by someone who literally understands nothing about Blackjack? And splits don't seem to be counting? It amounts to "play for hours with bad strategy and get comically lucky."

Well they have to stretch game time somehow. Else how are they gonna justify the comically high price.

There are gambling challenges? You might as well say "Hit the 1-100 random number generator until you get 100 numbers above 50."

I’m shocked you’ve kept going. Is the juice really worth the squeeze? Isn’t there a ‘life’s too short’ argument to be made?

So does it, like, get good? It kind of feels from your tweets that it’s mostly a slog?

The game is permeated that kind of absurdity. It's dozens of hours of "What!?! Why?"

I kind of feel compelled to play whenever I’m not playing. But then when I’m actually playing I never feel like I’m having a lot of fun AND for every mission there’s always hidden objectives you don’t know exist until you’ve completed the mission, which feels highly annoying.

Surprised you’re that deep into challenges... is there a payoff other than items, for you? I pretty quickly decided to ignore that stuff and focus on the narrative bits that were designed vs the way less fulfilling “explore our open world, dammit!” objectives.
